Sagar takes stock of various ongoing dev schemes of Khanyar constituency

SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar today convened a high level meeting of officers in the Winter Secretariat, Srinagar and took stock of the various ongoing developmental schemes of Khanyar constituency.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo, Director School Education, Kashmir, Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Superintending Engineer R&B Division 2nd and Superintending Engineer Mechanical, Executive Engineer UEED and other senior officers.
The meeting discussed the rehabilitation and compensation to the land owners whose land was acquired for construction of school buildings at Kalashpora and Nowhatta.
The meeting also discussed the land acquisition process for construction of Community Hall at Khanyar and also took stock of the construction and renovation work of Brari Numbal Baba Demb, discussed the steps taken for restoration of the historical image of the said monument.
Mr. Sagar issued instructions to concerned officers and engineers to complete the land acquisition process on the priority basis so that the constriction of said buildings would be started soon.
He stressed upon the officers to perform their duties with dedication and honesty, so that aspirations of the common people are fulfilled.
He also asked them to utilize all the funds and complete different development works and welfare schemes on priority basis so that the common people may be benefitted from these schemes.
Earlier, various deputations of the valley met the Minister and apprised him about various problems being faced by them. The Minister on spot directed the concerned officers to redress the grievances of the common people. He assured the deputationists that the Government is bound to solve the problems of the common people.
Among various deputations, a deputation from SRTC also met the Minister.
