Ruling NC activist killed in Srinagar

Srinagar, (KMW News): A ruling National Conference (NC) activist was killed by unidentified gunmen here this morning.

According to official sources, Bashir Ahmad Dar was fired upon by gunmen from a very close range at Batamaloo in the city.

Bhat died before he could be shifted to hospital, they said.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the killing.

Dar’s father Mohammad Jamal Dar, who was the block president of the NC, was killed by militants in 90’s.
