Kolkata, Nov 8 (KMW): Batting seventh down specialist bowler Ravichandran Ashwin hit his highest Test run of 124, barely hours after debutant Rohit Sharma’s incredible ton to power India consolidated a lead of 219 runs in the 1st Test on 3rd day against West Indies at Eden Gardens here today.
India were all out in 453 in 129.4 overs, five minutes before lunch in reply to West Indies first knock of 234 in 78 overs.
India began the day with overnight score of 354/6 with not out batsmen Rohit Sharma 127 and Ashwin 92.
