Restrictions imposed in Srinagar

Srinagar: Restrictions on the movement of public and transport under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) have been imposed in the jurisdiction of ten police stations in the summer capital Srinagar. The restrictions have been imposed by the District Magistrate (Srinagar), Baseer Ahmad Khan, “in view of law and order situation and to avoid breach of peace and tranquillity and damage to life and property”. The restrictions have been imposed under the jurisdiction of police stations Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safa Kadal, M. R. Gunj, Zadibal, Soura, Maisuma, Kralkhud, Shaheed Gunj and Batamaloo.
