Jammu, October 14: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is commemorating the 90th year of its operations this year with a series of events being held throughout the year. To mark this milestone, the Bank has launched the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge-based quiz competition aimed at undergraduate students.
The RBI90Quiz is a team-based contest, being held in multiple stages. The online phase was conducted from 19th to 21st September 2024. Based on the performance in the online phase, college teams were selected for participation in State-level rounds.
The Regional-level round of the RBI90Quiz for the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh was conducted at Radisson Blu Hotel, Jammu, where 112 students consisting of 56 teams competed. The team from Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST Kashmir comprising Zaid Ul Islam Bin Riyaz and Sania Shabir Soherverdy emerged as the winners.
The teams from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, and Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Safapora, secured second and third positions, respectively.
The top three teams were awarded cash prizes of ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh.
The winning team will now compete in the Zonal round, which will take place between November 21, 2024, and December 4, 2024. The national level final will be held at Mumbai in December 2024.
