Srinagar, Jan 26 (KMW) Train service remained suspended on Friday in the Kashmir valley for security reasons in view of threat perception following call for strike and protests by separatist organisation on Friday when the country is celebrating Republic Day.
No train will chug in the Kashmir valley, a railway official told News Agency this morning.
He said train service remained suspended for the second day on Friday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian on Wednesday.
A youth was killed while two women were injured in alleged security force firing during demonstrations near the encounter site.
All train running in South Kashmir have been suspended for security reasons on Thursday,also no train will chug on Badgam-Srinagar to Anantnag, Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
