Srinagar, Jul 21 : Train service has again been suspended in the Kashmir valley today, when separatists had called for “ United Nations Military Observers Office “ in Srinagar challo in protest against alleged Human Rights (HR) violations by the security forces.
‘We have suspended all trains between Srinagar-Badgam-in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north Kashmir today,’ a Railway official told News Agency.
Similarly, no train will chug on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region, he said.
The official said the train runs were suspended as a precautionary measure following advisory by the police keeping in view the safety of passengers and railway property.
‘We will restore the railway service once a green signal is received from the police and administration,’ he said.
