New Delhi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rahman Malik arrived here today on a three-day visit with a ‘message of peace’ and expressed satisfaction that relations between the two countries were better now.Â
”I have brought a message of peace to India,” he said after his arrival.
Mr Malik said Pakistan had always condemned terrorism as it too was a victim of terror.
About 40,000 ”innocent Pakistanis” had lost their lives due to terror, he said.
He, however, said the statements given by Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving Mumbai attacker who was recently hanged, were not enough proof of Pakistan’s involvement in the 28/11 terror attack.
He said Pakistan would act on Hafeez Saeed, if India provided enough evidence.
The Pakistan Minister regretted the alleged torture and killing of Indian Army Captain Saurabh Kalia by Pakistani soldiers during the Kargil war and said he did not know whether a Pakistani bullet had killed Kalia.
He said he did not want such incidents to happen in future.
