Pr Sec Home, DG prison visit Central Jail KB

JAMMU: Principal Secretary Home Department, Mr Suresh Kumar, accompanied by Director General of Prisons, Mr. K Rajindra, today visited Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal in connection with the yesterday’s incident of attack on a jail inmate.

The Principle Home Secretary and Director General Prisons took stock of situation and reviewed the security arrangements of the Central Jail.
The Home Secretary also chaired a meeting of senior officers of the Central Jail and issued necessary directions with regard to the strengthening of jail security and safety of the inmates. He asked the officers to make sure that such type of incidents may not occur in the future.
