Islamabad: Pakistan’s ruling party PPP has decided against making public a report on the probe into former premier Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, with party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari saying such a move could legally sabotage the case currently in progress.
The report identifies the individuals involved in the assassination and follows the “trail they left behind in an attempt to expose the financiers, orchestrators and co-conspirators”, Bilawal told a meeting of Pakistan People’s Party’s central executive committee at Naudero in Sindh province late last night.
“Everyone directly involved, who could be arrested, and are still alive have been taken into custody…The report also raises many questions. Having read everything, it is easy to conclude that this was a grand conspiracy,” he said.
