Srinagar, May 15 (KMW): “Peoples Political Party (PPP) in subscription to the wider body of its amalgamation (Hurriyat Conference) has as always endorsed the plan of commemorating and observing the martyrs week in remembrance of the martyrdom anniversaries of ‘Shaheed-e-Millat’ Late Moulvi Muhammad Farroq & ‘Shaheed-e-Hurriyat’ Late Abdul Ghani Lone, respectively,” a statement issued to KMW said.

“Kashmir one of the longest standing international disputes of the contemporary world has incessantly given nearly a hundred thousand martyrs and millions of tragedies till date. The Achelian heel of the issue remains that due to the vexed proxy wars and vitriolic politics in the international arena by the immediate as well as secondary stake-holders the issue has been in limbo over a many years now. Many great leaders and stalwarts of this land have laid down their lives for the just cause of Right to Self-Determination in accordance with the international laws and the wave continues till date.”
In view of the above agenda, People Political Party (PPP) has always endeavored to carry forth the message and struggle of the torch bearers and beacons of Kashmir’s struggle towards independence. Finalizing the list and sequence of events that would mark the commemoration of the martyr’s week, Chairman of PPP, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War said, such events are necessary and of pivotal importance in order to refresh and remind the people with the cause and aspiration of a Free and independent Kashmir for which these leaders attained martyrdom. He further said that commemorating their martyrdom rejuvenates the flame of freedom that burns inside every soul of Kashmir and strengthens their resolve to struggle and carryon till freedom is had. Er. War further appealed the entire length and breadth of Kashmir to show their hearty response and participation to the week of commemoration so that a strong message gets conveyed to the enemies of Kashmir cause that they will not cow-down rather struggle relentlessly and know no rest till freedom is won. It is pertinent to mention that PPP will organize a bike rally on May 18, 2014 from the Historic Maisuma location of uptown Suburb to APHC office (Rajbagh), wherein, PPP Chairman will address a seminar.
