Srinagar: Police assistance is just a phone call away in the Kashmir valley, where Police Control Room (PCR) will receive calls round the clock.
Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir Police is at the service of the people round the clock and any person having any problem should contact the Srinagar PCR.
Anyone having any problem can dial 2452138, 2452098, 2455883, 100, mobile numbers 9419093561 and 9419405550 to get immediate assistance from the police, he added.
He expressed satisfaction over the law and order and security situation in the state, and said police-public co-ordination has been strengthened at all levels which has resulted in ensuring law and order maintainance.
Mr Khoda while communicating to all subordinate officers here said with the improving security situation, educational, trade and developmental activities have regained their pace and the Valley is witnessing a huge flow of domestic and foreign tourists.
He stressed upon field officers to convene meetings with the locals under their jurisdiction and know their problems to solve them on priority.
He thanked the people for extending their full cooperation to police department in maintaining law and order and peace in the state.
The DGP said that some elements do not want peace in the state for their personal gains and want to disrupt congenial atmosphere by spreading havoc among the public through rumours.
He appealed to people to remain vigilant about the nefarious designs of these elements.
The people of the Valley have always proved themselves peace loving citizens and the elements inimical to peace should realise this, the DGP added.
