Srinagar, December 10(KMW): Senior Leader, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and Chairman, People’s Political Party (PPP), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, was scheduled to lead a march from Maisuma to UNO Office Sonwar to register a protest against Human Rights Violations in Kashmir on the occasion of World Human Rights Day today on December 10. He tried to break the siege and to lead the March of APHC to UNO office from his Maisuma residence was not allowed by the police contingent of police.
It is pertinent to mention here that State Administration had had put Engineer Hilal Ahmad War , under house detention on the night of December 8, 2016 . Police officials had informed the Engineer Hilal Ahmad War about his house detention and said that he can’t move out from his Maisuma residence.
While attempting to march towards UNO office, Engineer Hilal told media persons that – “World Human Rights Day is celebrated and observed each year throughout the globe on December 10 as envisaged by UN Charter .But, this unfortunate part of the globe – Jammu & Kashmir, has been converted into a active war zone and human rights graveyard by the occupational forces of India.â€
He further said during past 26 years more than one Lakh bullet ridden, tortured, blasted, hanged and beheaded human souls of Kashmir were consigned to graveyards by Indian occupational forces .During the present popular mass uprising in Kashmir Indian occupational forces deliberately targeted young boys and girls aged between 10 to 25 by pellets under a well throughout plan to convert Kashmir into a valley of blinds.
“Indian occupational forces have committed heinous crimes in Kashmir including genocide, custodial killings and disappearances, fake encounters , rapes , molestations etc .They behave above law because they are empowered by black draconian laws like AFSPA, Disturbed Area Act and they enjoy impunityâ€, said Engineer Hilal War.
On this occasion people chanted slogans in favour of freedom of Kashmir and against Human Rights Violations in Kashmir committed by Indian forces. He also made an appeal to the super power countries of the globe, USA, Great Britain, Russia and China in particular to intervene in Kashmir.
