Police arrest drug peddler in Sopore, Contraband substance recovered

Sopore , August 31: Police in Sopore have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A police team during a routine patrolling at Ashpeer–Batpora Road, arrested a drug peddler identified as Farooq Ahmed Kanna son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Khushhal Matoo Sopore. During search, substantial quantity of psychotropic substance was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 172/2025 has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
