New Delhi: The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said there had been some aberrations and setbacks in the space programme in the recent past, which are being dealt with in accordance with laid down procedures. Addressing a gathering of scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation in Ahmedabad yesterday, he asked them to work with renewed dedication to meet expectations of the space programme. He said empowerment requires ensuring that space services are available to all sections of society.Earlier, delivering the convocation speech at the 46th Convocation of IIM Ahmedabad, the Prime Minister said that India has become one of the most preferred global destinations for foreign investors. Dr. Singh said that India has emerged as one of the world’s fastest growing economies with its savings and investment rates giving confidence that with prudent policies and sound economic management, the country can achieve double digit growth.
