PEACS Delhi exit poll Favors AAP

New Delhi, Feb 5: According to PEACS (Platform for Election Analysis & Community Studies) exit poll on Delhi elections, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party (AAP) is going to emerge as the single largest party in New Delhi. As per the exit poll, 42.2% voters believe that AAP will win the elections in Delhi.

AAP is projected to win within a range of 34-38 seats in a House of 70. The BJP may come up second and is projected to win within a range of 28-32 seats.
Congress Party is projected to win within a range of 3 to 6 seats while ‘Others’ as per the exit poll are projected to win within a range of 0 to 1 seat.
In the previous assembly elections, BJP had won 32, AAP 28, Congress 8, and ‘Others’ 2 seats.
The exit poll shows 7 per cent swing in vote share in favour of BJP while vote share swing in favour of AAP has increased to 13 per cent. Both the Congress and ‘Others’ have been projected as losers as far as vote share are concerned. Vote share of Congress party has come down by 13 per cent and others have also lost their vote share by 7 per cent.
BJP had the maximum vote share in previous assembly elections with 33%, followed by AAP (29%), Congress (25%) and others (13%).
PEACS exit poll shows 42.6% people believe that Arvind Kejriwal can solve day to day problems of Delhi people including corruption amd price rise while only 18.3% voters believe that Narendra Modi can solve these problems. However, 45.8% voters believe that BJP can provide the most honest and transparent government in Delhi. 41.5% voters of Delhi believe that Arvind Kejriwal is the most popular leader and 51.2% voters feel that Kejriwal is the best candidate for Chief Minister. The exit poll shows that 27.1% voters of Delhi believe that Kiran Bedi can prove the best Chief Minister of the state.
