Srinagar, Dec 18(KMW): Lashing out at PDP for its repeated, abusive and scurrilous attacks the National Conference today said that it shows the party’s ideological and political bankruptcy.
“These people in their speeches attempt to buttress their arguments by rattling off a few stats against NC but miserably fail every time” said Tanvir Sadiq, Political Secretary to Omar Abdullah while interacting with party workers here.
“They talk about bringing morals in politics but they seem to forget that people are still aware how their patron used power against the people of Kashmir as the then Union home minister through his nominated and trusted man Jagmohan, enforced AFSPA. People have not forgotten the massacre let loose on civilians at Gaokadal, Islamia College and other places under the orders of their patron who was the then home minister” said Tanvir adding “Is this the definition of their bringing morals” asked Tanvir.
“They shed crocodile tears pretending to be the saviors of Kashmir” said Tanvir “Who are they fooling, everyone knows how their president heaped praises for Modi and their clandestine tie-up with BJP” said Sadiq
“They are talking about morals and delivering us lectures. They traded miseries of people to become the chief minister of the state” said Tanvir adding “Telling hundred lies to shift the guilt and liabilities on others and attempt at hiding the truth by fabrication and deceit is not going to clean the image of PDP which is an exposed political entity before the public,”
“What morality are they talking about everyone knows their role in 1984 and 1986 in destabilizing the democratically elected government of Dr Farooq Abdullah is no secret; Tanvir said adding “These elements have not given up; they tried their worst after 2008 elections by conspiring against Mr Omar Abdullah, in closed door secret meetings”
The statement issued to KMW mentions that the political secretary told the party activists that the Persian verse by Hafiz Sheerazi befits the characteristic of PDP which says “Chi Dilawar Ast Duzdi Ki Baqaf Chirag Darad” (How much brazen is the thief that he has kept lamp in his hand)
“PDP will never be successful as their whole agenda is based around divisive and vindictive politics” said Tanvir according to the issued statement.
Cautioning the people about emergence of divisive forces Tanvir said “People should make a right and conscious decision whether to vote for those who believe in politics of exploiting religion or region or vote for those who want to ensure equal rights for all the regions of the state which are the cherished ideals, nurtured by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah”.
