Srinagar, Dec 23 : As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief spokesperson Wednesday maintained that forging alliance with BJP is inevitable, BJP claimed that some top leaders of PDP are in close touch with the BJP for their support to form the next government in JK.
Top BJP leader of the state unit wished anonymity told that the PDP leaders are in touch with the BJP leadership for the formation of government. “Soon after the results the PDP leaders approached the BJP for the formation of government,†he claimed.
Earlier on the day Nayeem Akhtar chief spokesperson of the PDP said that the engagement with BJP is inevitable because they are the ruling party at the Centre. “We cannot rule out the BJP’s performance as they have emerged as a political force within the state. Akhtar said
He however said that Jammu & Kashmir is a complex State. “See forming a Government with all interested parties without compromising on our ideology will be a challenge. It will be a hard decision to make. Choosing a partner will be a catch,†he said.
Meanwhile if sources are to be believed in BJP then the PDP has sent feelers to the party to explore possibility of an alliance.
