PDP-BJP politically bankrupt: Slathia

JAMMU: Castigating opposition PDP for lack of political vision and maturity, the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. S. S. Slathia today said that BJP and PDP are habitual of resorting to lies and levelling wild allegations on NC leadership. “They on one hand, level false allegations, but at the same time, without feeling ashamed, tender apology publicly for their lies which speaks volumes about their political bankruptcy”, Mr. Slathia said.

Addressing a public gathering at Dowal in Tehsil Vijaypur, after inaugurating a link road and lanes and drains there, Mr. Slatha said on many occasions some members of the PDP levelled false allegations of corruption against NC leaders but could not substantiate and had to apologize publicly for their misadventures. He said both PDP and BJP are power hungry parties which unsuccessfully try to hoodwink public opinion by raising frivolous issues. “But the people of the state are wise enough to judge as to who are their real friends and foes and see which party has shared agonies of the people through thick and thin”, Mr. Slathia said adding that PDP should know that the people of the state have rejected this party for its double standards.
Mr. Slathia said N.C is a strong people’s movement which has offered sacrifices for empowerment of the common masses and strengthening the democratic values in the state since last six decades. Even during the darkest and worst phase of turmoil, NC cadres suffered immensely for espousing the cause of people.
Mr. Slathia said that opposition will never succeed in their nefarious plans against NC and the people of the state adding that any attempt to divide the people on religious, and religion basis would be thwarted tooth and nail.
Terming the employment as the biggest challenge confronting centre and state governments, Mr. Slathia said that recruitment process has been fast tracked to provide government jobs to the educated youth. However, he enjoined upon the parents to provide better education to the children to enable them compete stiff competition ahead.
Cautioning the people about the false propaganda of the opposition, Mr. Slathia asked them to remain united adding that unity is strength and success lies in unity.
Responding to the demands of the locals, Mr. Slathia announced to construct a link road upto Shamshan Ghat adding that possibilities will be explored to construct water harvesting tanks in the area to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers. He also assured to improve power transmission system in the area.
Mr. Slathia thanked the people of Dowal for reposing un-flinched faith and trust on him and assured that no stone will be left unturned to come upto their expectation. He vowed to provide all the modern civic facilities to the people of the area.
The Minister was accompanied by a team of senior engineers of various departments and officers of the district administration, Samba. H was given a rousing reception on his arrival in the Dowal village. (KMW News)
