ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former Haj minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi, who has been accused of corruption in last year’s Haj operations, was arrested from Rawalpindi’s District and Sessions Court on Tuesday.  Kazmi was the religious affairs minister during Haj and he oversaw the Haj operations.Kazmi pre-arrest bail plea was earlier rejected by a court.During Tuesday’s proceedings the Federal Investigation Agency produced incriminating evidence that proved Kazmi’s involvement in corruption during the Haj operations.The FIA had earlier detained Pakistan’s former Haj Director Rao Shakeel and named Zain Sukhera, the point man of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son, Qadir Gilani, as one of the accused in the case.
