PAKISTAN QUALIFY FOR ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY FINAL

Pakistan have qualified for the final of ICC Champions Trophy beating England by 8 wickets in the first semi-final at Cardiff today.

Batting first, England were all out on 211 runs in 49.5 overs. JM Bairstow with 43 runs and JE Root with 46 runs remained the main scores from England side. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali took three wickets, Junaid Khan and Rumman Raees grabbed two wickets each, while Shadab Khan clined once wicket.

In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 37.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Azhar Ali with 76 runs and Fakhar Zaman with 57 runs remained main scorers from Pakistan side.

Hasan Ali was declared Man of the Match for his spell of 3 for 35.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Director General ISPR have congratulated the Pakistani team over its splendid victory against England.
