ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the nation to bury their differences and get united for the stability and development of the country.
He was addressing the nation after unfurling national flag at a ceremony at Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad on Monday.
The President advised the youth to demonstrate wisdom and become a source of fulfillment of national goals instead of becoming frustrated.
He said the national issues should be judged in their true perspective rather than seeing them out of context.
He urged the nation to rise above their minor divides and work for the solidarity and stability of the country.
The President said the poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal and father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had encouraged the Muslims to follow the path of moderation and sagacity.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang highlighted the significance of Pak-China ties and felicitated the Pakistan i nation on its 70th Independence Anniversary.
He expressed China ‘s determination to support Pakistan in its efforts for development, regional stability and securing its national interests and sovereignty.
Yang said the Chinese government desires to accelerate and accomplish the mega project launched under China Pakistan Economic Corridor for greater economic prosperity of the Pakistan i nation.
He said China wants to further increase the bilateral cooperation in other sectors like health, sports, academic, scientific knowledge and exchanges of cultural and academic delegations.
Meanwhile, addressing PAF Aerobatics show in Islamabad on Monday, the President said that Pakistan armed forces and entire nation have always responded befittingly to the aggressive designs of the enemies of the country.
He said both internal and external threat will be countered jointly by security agencies and the nation.
He said secret to economic development lies in national unity and solidarity.
He also paid a rich tribute to the security forces for ensuring peace and security in the country.
Mamnoon Hussain said JF-17 Thunder aircraft, jointly designed by Pakistan Air Force and China will further enhance the defence capability of the country.
