Jammu: Pakistan, in yet another ceasefire violation, fired at Border Security Force troops while they were busy with routine task on the fields along International Border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Pakistani Rangers yesterday resorted to firing again at Khwara post in Samba sector when the BSF personnel were removing grown up grass along the fence,” official sources here said.
“They fired small arms and targeted the BSF men,” the sources said, adding that the firing lasted for about 10 minutes following which the BSF retaliated.
This was the third incident of firing at Khwara, the last post of Samba sector, bordering Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
The Rangers have also violated ceasefire four times in Chechwal area of Samba sector.
“There was no casualty or damage on Indian side in exchange of fire,” the sources said.
