Srinagar: Azam Inqilabi, patron JK Mahaz-e-Azadi, while commenting on the proposed visit of Indian premier Dr. Manmohan Singh to Pakistan, said, “We are not averse to the visit which aimed at strengthening the cordial relations of the two countries. However Kashmiris look upon this visit in a different way.

Pakistani President Asif Zardari, while entertaining Dr. Manmohan Ji with Pakistani “Biryanee and Qehwa” and exchanging pleasantries, cannot mitigate and alleviate the sufferings and hardships of Kashmiris. This magnanimous gesture of hospitality cannot salve the wounds and palliate the agony of Kashmiris who are groaning and wincing in the grueling situation here created by the overbearing and domineering dictatorial demeanour of the Delhi liege lords.

I, without mincing words, want to be candid and straightforward in my submission while dilating on the dynamics of historical events and episodes. Pakistan, through Jan 5- 1949 UNCIP resolution on Kashmir, literally guaranteed the inertia of Azad Kashmir freedom zealots. This resolution wrenched and wrested the militant resolve and initiative from Kashmiris.

Protomartyr Maqbool Butt, the revolutionary icon of Kashmir resistance movement gave a rebuff and rebuttal to Pakistan by embarking on a hazardous course and adventure of sustained guerrilla warfare in Kashmir. Pakistan, in 1965 conventional battle with India, could not break the log-jam and stalemate in Kashmir imbroglio. India retaliated in East Pakistan and successfully carved out Bangladesh to the astonishment of Pak strategists. India did not rest on its “laurels”.

India instigated Soviet Union to go for military intervention in Afghanistan in 1979. It is true that Gen. Zia-ul-Haq as an ingenious strategist and expeditionist patronized the insurgency in Kashmir to checkmate the Indo-Russia military manoeuvre in Afghan. Author of the operation Topac died as a martyr on Aug. 17, 1988. Hats off to the hero of the heroic deed.

India is resiliently glued to its policy of national aggrandizement, expansionism, chauvinistic nationalism and aggressive military activism in South Asia. And temporization forms the cornerstone of its Kashmir policy. Megalomaniac arrogance and obduracy is the hallmark of Delhi imperialistic rulers who still bank on their diplomatic onslaught while dealing with Pakistan. Delhi rulers relish the helplessness of mortified and traumatized Afghans. In such a situation, therefore, visit of Dr. Manmohan Singh to Pakistan creates no euphoria and exhilaration in Kashmir. Kashmiris continue to feel disillusioned with Pak-India bonhomie and hobnobbing.

In the backdrop of these facts it is obligatory for Pakistan top abandon the course of defeatism, policy of apologetics and schemes based on expediency and complacency. It should empower Azad Kashmir and recognize Azad Kashmir government as a revolutionary government meant for the comprehensive resistance against Indian onslaught in Kashmir.

Mr. Shinde, the internal minister of India, blatantly refused to abrogate and annul the draconian law AFSPA which empowers an ordinary soldier of India in Kashmir to eliminate any person with impunity and immunity.

Pakistan, by neutralizing the revolutionary role of Azad Kashmir, inadvertently created a situation of vulnerability for sovereign Pakistan. This is an enigmatic predicament which Pakistan strategists should anatomize and analyze in a scientific way. Remember that the militant initiative of the revolutionary successors of Protomartyr Maqbool Butt is, in no way, quiescent to be hostage to your policy of political pessimism and diplomatic skedaddle on Kashmir front.

Kashmir revolutionaries have the requisite resolve and capability to jeopardize your policy of defeatism. The two million revolutionary youth of Kashmir that straddles the Loc are determined to create unprecedented situation. This revelation may be a source of embarrassment for you.

However, ostrich optimism cannot bail you out in such a precarious situation insinuating and implying unpredictability. It is, therefore, opportune time to capitalize on and optimize the congenial situation created by the pacifist revolutionaries of Kashmir like Azam Inqilabi, Eng. Hilal Ahmad War, Javaid Mir, Farooq Ahmad Dar (Bita-karatay), Nayeem Khan, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Yasin Malik.

Do seize the fleeting moments of history to provide a reprieve and respite to the crores of impoverished people of South Asia who are reeling under the debilitating atmosphere of uncertainty, fear and horror. Allow Kashmiris to exercise their right to self-determination.

And 3-D Freedom Formula of Mahaz-e-Azadi can salvage the rulers of India and Pakistan. That is a way to heave a sigh of relief in a situation so exacting and challenging. Let wisdom prevail on all concerned.” (KMW News)
