Jammu, KMW News: The Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested one person along with fake currency in this winter capital of the State.

“Based on a tip-off, the SOG sleuths last evening conducted a surprise raid in a hotel in Maheshpura area of Bakshi Nagar and arrested one Mandeep Singh, resident of Sainik Colony along with fake currency worth Rs 12,800,” police sources here today said.

They said during investigations it was found that the arrested person belonged to a smuggling gang and had to supply the fake amount to third party.
“A case has been registered and investigations are in progress,” they added.
