Srinagar, October 26(KMW): Senior Pro-self-determination leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) and People’s Political Party (PPP) Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, while terming October 27 a darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir said Indian Army occupied the sovereign territory of Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of its people.
He further said , Jammu and Kashmir was a sovereign country till October 26, 1947, the intervention and military action of Indian Army on October 27, 1947 was unconstitutional, illegal, unjustified and against the golden principles of United Nations Charter.
The Government of India , in violation of all norms of humanity , decency, democratic principles and even the United Nations Charter, deployed Indian Army , supported by Indian Air Force , to wage a war against the people of Jammu and Kashmir , on the pretext of the so-called Accession which was a mockery and deception to hoodwink the International Community including UNO.
Mr. War asked Kashmiri Diaspora, and Mr. Syed Faiz Naqshbandi (Convener of APHC AJK and Pakistan Chapter) in particular to open diplomatic channels across the world to draw the attention of the world community towards the Indian occupation in Jammu and Kashmir which is not only against the wishes of people of Jammu and Kashmir but also against the philosophy, purpose and the very existence of United Nations. He has asked Mian Muzaffar Ahmad Shah (Representative to AJK and Pakistan Chapter) to extend full support and cooperation to Mr. Faiz Naqshbandi in this regard.
Terming October 27, 1947, a slur on the face of Indian democracy and a big question mark on the credibility, relevance, purpose and existence of United Nations, Engineer Hilal urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to support United Hurriyat Conference leadership and observe October 27 as a black day.
