No movement of security force vehicle on Kashmir highway today, police

Srinagar, Aug 15 : No security force vehicle will be allowed to ply on the national highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country today, when people are celebrating 71st Independence Day (ID).

The highway is through for civilian traffic from both sides, a traffic police official told news agency.
However, he said only light vehicles will ply from both Srinagar and Jammu.

But, he said, heavy vehicles will ply from Jammu to Srinagar only as the road at several places is still under repair.

Police said that no security force vehicle will be allowed to ply from any side today.
