NIT organizing ‘Techvaganza 2014’ for techno-aspirants

Srinagar, May 10: In a bid to provide a platform to the young and budding techno-aspirants, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is organizing its 6th technical festival this month.

“Techvaganza is the largest technical event in north-Kashmir aimed to bring the youth to limelight and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent,” Programme Coordinator, Shabir Ahmad said, while addressing a news conference here.
He said that the aim of the event was to benefit the aspirants, who in one way or other fail to make it to the institute directly. He said that the two day event beginning on May 24 was free for all and requires no registration fee.
“The institute is not charging any registration fee. Whosoever has interest in taking part in the event can register by visiting our newly launched website www.techvaganza.org. The aspirants must avail this opportunity,” he said.
Director Physical Education, NIT, Prof Niyaz Ahmad said that the institute has excelled in many events and the worth-mentioning was the triumph in the Cricket Championship in Nagpur.
On this occasion, the NIT officials also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with many organizations that have shown interest in promoting the festival. The logo of “Techvaganza 2014” was unveiled by the dignitaries of the institute at the end of the conference.
Many events which are being organized in “Techvaganza” under the following headings: Robonoids; Creatives; Fixer Elixer; Code Shode; Builder, which include Smack Down, Rescue Bot, Line Follower, Mystry Box, Embesys, Fulcrum, Captive Dynax, Junkyard, Traffixing, Sanrachna, Nirman, Andriod App Development, Codomania, Konstructor, Bridge the Gorge and Institute Planning.
The institute is inviting sponsorship for the event up to 15th of May while the last date for registration is 23rd of May 2014.
