New traffic plan from Rambagh to Jehangir Chowk

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 09: In view of the restoration of roads in Srinagar city after recent floods, the Traffic Police Department has formulated route plan on certain routes.

As per fresh route plan, there will be one way traffic movement from Rambagh towards Jehangir Chowk and no opposite traffic will be allowed in the flyover corridor from Sharegarhi upto Rambagh bridge.
Accordingly, the traffic movement from city centre to south of the city will be allowed via Jawahar Nagar while LMV’s will be allowed to ply via town square mall crossing towards Ramzana Hospital onwards towards bund up to Rambagh.
Similarly, all the commercial vehicles have to take L.D route to Jawahar Nagar, Jawahar Nagar Bund upto Rambagh Bridge.
Since the traffic pressure on peak morning hours is very high, the people who have to attend an emergency, they can take Bye Pass-Tangpora-Batmaloo route.
The passenger vehicles, which have not got permission from SSP Traffic City Srinagar will not be allowed to enter city centre via Rambagh.
