Srinagar: In a significant political movement, various state leaders from the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Pawar (NCP-SP) have ramped up their political activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The party convened a major meeting of its leaders from J&K at the iconic Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Fauzia Khan, Honourable Member of Parliament and National President of NCP-SP(NMC) who led discussions on various pressing issues related to the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
After the meeting, the leaders met with NC Party Head Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar under the chairpersonship of
Member of Parliament and National President of NCP-SP, Dr. Fauzia Khan. The leaders had a productive discussion about the upcoming J&K Assembly Elections, during which NCP-Sharad Chandra Pawar extended full support to the National Conference in J&K.
Before extending support, a meeting was conducted, which was attended by several prominent leaders, including Mir Arifa Jan, State President NMC, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Ahanger (State Convenor) Mr. Gyan Prakash, Dr. Mehnaz Mirza, Mr. Wahid Khan, Dr. Iftikhar Ji, and various other leaders from the Union Territory. This marked the first large gathering of party workers for NCP-SP in the region.
The discussions centered around critical topics, including the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, the regularization of employees, support for fruit growers, unemployment, and various other significant issues impacting the region.
In her address, Dr. Fauzia Khan emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in addressing the challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated the party’s commitment to advocating for the rights and aspirations of the region’s residents.
Other leaders present at the meeting echoed these sentiments, expressing their dedication to working together for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir. The discussions highlighted the need for a strategic approach to ensure the region’s development and prosperity.
The meeting concluded with a strong resolution to continue pushing for the restoration of statehood and addressing the various administrative and socio-economic issues that have long plagued the region. On this occasion, many new leaders joined the party, including social activists and advocates from the union territory.
