NC releases fourth list of 22 candidates, Omar to contest from Beerwah, Sonwar

Srinagar, 31 Oct: National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar announced the fourth list of 22 candidates for the Assembly Elections 2014 here today. Earlier the party had announced a list of 62 candidates.

The Parliamentary Board under the Chairmanship of the Working President Shri Omar Abdullah cleared a list of 22 candidates, 15 Candidates for Kashmir region and 7 Candidates for Jammu region.
The Parliamentary Board comprising of A.R. Rather, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Ajay Sadhotra, Nasir Aslam Wani and Devender Singh Rana met here and discussed the panels of candidates received from the Block and the District Committees of the party.
Chief Minister Omar Abdulla will contest from Sonwar and Beerwah while Aga Syed Mehmood will be the party candidate from Pattan Assembly constituency.
Other candidates of the party who were awarded mandates include Ali Mohammad Dar (Chadoora Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri (Pulwama), Mohammad Sayeed Akhoon (Hazratbal), Peer Afaq (Zadibal), Mehboob Beg (Anantnag),
Sheikh Rafi (Shopian), Dr. Mustafa Kamal (Gulmarg), Sheikh Ashfaq Jabbar (Ganderbal), Mohammad Ahraf Ganai (Sopore) Kafeel-ur-Rehman (Karna) Mohammad Abdullah Wani (Bandipora), Wali Mohammad (Langate), Mirza Abdul Rashid (Rajouri), Dr. Riyaz Bhaderwahi Bhaderwah) Sansar Chand (Chenani) Chaudhary Salaam Din (Inderwal)
Surinder Singh Bunty (Gandhi Nagar) Ms. Shakti Bala (Chhamb)
Dr. Shamshad Shan (Gool Arnas).
