Jammu, Mar 23 (KMW) : Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today alleged that the State has been plunged into unprecedented crisis due to complete failure of the National Conference-Congress regime.
“It is a historical fact that opportunist alliance between National Conference and Congress has always proved disastrous for the State of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mr Mufti said while addressing a series of public meetings in Vijaypur area of Samba district and Dusshera Ground here which were organised to intensify campaign for party candidate Yash Pal Sharma.
The former Chief Minister emphasised on the need of taking the people of Jammu and Kashmir out of morass and prevailing uncertainty.
Attacking NC-Congress coalition for mess and uncertainty in the State, Mr Sayeed regretted that during the last five and half years the present regime has spoiled the peaceful atmosphere which was created by the previous PDP led coalition regime.
‘What is happening after formation of National Conference-Congress government on January 5, 2009 is before all of us”, he said and pointed out that during the five and half year corruption has crossed all limits and the government, through its deceit tactics, has brazenly eroded sanctity and credibility of all democratic institutions.
Observing that change in imminent in J&K, the PDP stalwart said that tenure of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led government would be remembered as dark-period in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
