Dr Farooq Abdullah announces its 3 candidates for parliamentary polls

Srinagar, Dec 5 (KMW): National Conference (NC) patron Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday announced the nomination his party’s three candidates for the forthcoming parliamentary polls. Dr Farooq the NC patron will himself represent Srinagar parliamentary constituency, while as Sharif-ud-din Shariq and Mehboob Beig will contest from Baramulla and Anantnag parliamentary constituencies.

The announcement was made by the NC patron at a function organized by the party to observe 108th birth anniversary of its founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah at Nigeen.

Dr Farooq Abdullah while announcing the names of the nominated candidates said, “Till I am alive, I will fight the polls from Srinagar.”

Pertinently, Farooq, Shariq and Beig are the incumbent representatives of the same constituencies in the Parliament. They had won the elections in 2009.
