Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chief Patron, Islamic Political Party, Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, welcomes U.N General Secretary, Mr. Ban Ki Moon and O.I.C General Secretary Mr. Ahsan Ignaloof for their remarks regarding the Human Rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir. “The situation in Kashmir is grave due to the state terrorism and oppression of Indian forces and state police”, said. Mr. Naqash. Continuous strict curfew restrictions and ban on media is depictive of the fact that India wants to curb the ongoing peaceful struggle for freedom in Kashmir by military might. To stop the local media from publishing the incidents of death and destruction at the hands of Indian forces and state police not only movement of state journalists is restricted but also the local papers and channels are completely banned. Today if in such a hard situation local papers started circulation but the hawkers were disallowed circulation and also thrashed by forces. Their newspaper bundles were snatched from them. Mr. Naqash has strongly condemned this state terrorism and ban on media by India and its puppet State administration and said that Kashmiri people will continue their struggle for freedom from Indian forced and illegal occupation in spite of state repression.
