Srinagar: In a startling disclosure, the Awami National Conference senior Vice-President Muzaffar Ahmad Shah lambasted the current government and alleged them of resorting to corrupt practices.

This burning disclosure was made at a crowded press conference at a local hotel in the summer capital, Srinagar. The twenty four minute expose CD was also telecasted on the occasion and a copy of it was provided to every media representative.
Muzaffar Shah stated that his party would soon be filing a series of Public Interest Litigations in the High Court and Supreme Court on this and other burning problems confronted by the state.
When this correspondent asked Muzaffar Shah that what his thought was on the vanishing environmental resources of the state especially Kashmir Valley (and whether there was need of launching an public contact or agitation over this ), Muzaffar Shah replied-“We are going to launch a massive public contact program and even agitation if the desired results are not achieved. Public contact is an essential component of our program,”
Muzaffar Shah also appealed to media fraternity to uphold the high values of journalism and give proper coverage to burning issues confronted by the society at large.
A large number of civil society figures and journalists were present on this occasion.
