(States army paying rent of only 20 percent land)
Srinagar: In a significant development, Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference is filling a PIL in the J&K High Court in connection with alleged embezzlement running into Crores of rupees pertaining to land acquisition for PMGSY road at Mamar, Kachpathri, District Ganderbal shown as acquired from private land owners whereas as per records this land was originally a state land. How much money belonging to our bankrupt state has been shown paid under this dubious transfer of land and who are the persons involved in this transaction, and embezzlement of money belonging to the citizens of this state?. This was stated by. Muzaffar Shah, Sr. Vice President ANC while briefing the members of the media at a heavily attended press conference at ANC party head quarters in Srinagar today.In a crowded press conference, the ANC Sr. Vice President exhibited before the media the two hundred page file pertaining to this alleged land scam in front of the media and stated that he will be eagerly awaiting for a comprehensive reply to the RTI’s filed by ANC within the stipulated time after which the party would take the decision for approaching the Supreme Court of India for directions and for the CBI to investigate the matter.Informing the media of the continued war against corruption that his party has undertaken and the RTI’s ANC is filing today in with connection Mamar Katchparti scam, he informed of one particular case wherein Rs. 45, 18,000 were released in favor of a fake land owner while the entitlement was only Rupees 7,01,155/=  for land acquired for Nahul Highway in District Ganderbal from Badanpora to Zero Point Sonamarg. Div.Com Kashmir’s inaction against conduct of enquiry and submission of report in this matter has been sought in the RTI. Muzaffar Shah also gave full details of the application filed under J&K RTI Act in connection with stacking of illicit timber by MLA Sopore at his residence wherein access was denied to the Forest Protection Force by the MLA’s security and  the politico bureaucratic nexus depriving educated unemployed youth of setting up industrial units in Industrial Area Khonmoh, Phase 1,2,3 and Food Park where 250 unit holders are deprived of industrial plots which were allegedly handed over to people with political  and bureaucratic connections and by jumping the queue in blatant violation of the law.Shah also informed the media of the RTI filed in connection with the alleged allotment of custodian land of 2 Kannals and 3 Marlas at sector A Indira Nagar, Badami Bagh Cantonment area earmarked for public park. It is alleged that this land was allotted to the son of MLA Eid Gah after intervention by the highest administrative authority of the Kashmir division, wherein work on thew said park was stopped abruptly.ANC is also seeking legal recourse for compensation from the Army and the Paramilitary forces wherein approx. 1,30,000 Kannals of land in the State are occupied by them and it is alleged that rent compensation is paid only towards 20% area of the land occupied.Shah appealed to the electronic as well as the print media to publish these cases in full without any fear of fervor. This is a noble cause undertaken for the down trodden, exploited and hapless people of the State.The Awami National Conference in recent times is playing a very proactive role in the politics of Jammu&* Kashmir.
