Srinagar, Feb 17: Today on the eve of the visit of European Union delegates to the valley of Kashmir , the suspected militants fired upon the Aakash Mehra (22) year old son of the popular Krishna Dhaba owner Ramesh Kumar Mehra.
He was fired upon & left injured at Durga Nag by a suspected militant, close to UNMOGIP and Gupkar Road in high security zone of Sonwar in Srinagar. Pistol shot in chest. Under treatment at SMHS Hospital in very critical condition.
Senior police officer told that the militants fired upon a man, identified as Akash Mahra, at Krishna Dhaba near Durga Nag Area of Sonwar. Lesser known group Muslim Janbaaz Force Jammu and Kashmir claimed responsibility for the attack on Krishna hotel owner son in Srinagar.
Mahra was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment, reports state he is critical.
It is worth mentioning that in the militancy name of Muslim Janbaz Force has surfaced after more than two decades.
