Leh, Jan: Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Mohmad Hanifa, flagged off the Fit India Cycling Drive at Sindhu Ghat, Leh. The event, organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre Zirakpur, was part of the Fit India Movement, envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, to promote a healthier and more active lifestyle across the nation.

The cycling route began at the picturesque Sindhu Ghat, passing through Shey Palace, a historical landmark. Cyclists then took a U-turn, traversing through local villages, allowing participants to experience the rich and ancient cultural heritage of Ladakh—the world’s highest desert plateau. The ride concluded back at Sindhu Ghat, which also served as the finish line.
