Srinagar: A moderate intensity earthquake rock Kashmir valley, including this summer capital, early this morning, forcing people to rush out of their homes. Official sources said tremors, measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale, were felt at 0310 hrs. Its epicentre was in Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan, located at 36.58 north (Longitude) and 70.93 easts (Latitude). People rushed out of their homes in panic. However, there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property.
