Srinagar: “Separatist leaders are still disintegrated. Poor people of Kashmir got mislead that Majlis Muthida Mashawart (MMM) has brought all the heads under one roof but the reality is that MMM was formed to address a single issue pertaining to Mohammad Afzal Guroo. People should understand that MMM was not formed to address Kashmir issue,” this was told by Dukhtaren-e- Milat president , Syeda Aasia Andrabi to CNS on Sunday.

Aasia Andrabi said that it is miscalculation on part of people that MMM signifies unity between different separatist groups. “People are mislead. MMM has been formed with one point agenda and it is not represented by the heads but only their representatives take part in its meetings,” Andrabi said.
She said that poor people of Kashmir thought that MMM will do everything now and will lead the movement to its logical conclusion but they are wrong. “There should be unity of principles and not unity of men. Nothing will come out even if all separatist leaders will come under one platform till there will be no unity of principles,” Andrabi told CNS.
Defending Syed Ali Shah Geelani for issuing strike calls on his own, Syeda Aasia Andrabi said that MMM is not there to address the Kashmir problem and it has nothing to do with Kashmir issue.
“Let me clear it that MMM was formed on the initiative of Hurriyat G to seek the mortal remains of Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo and Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat. It has only one-point agenda and to criticize MMM that it has failed to deliver goods is surprising. MMM can’t do anything except pressing for the demand to return the mortal remains of martyrs back to Valley,” Andrabi said.
Aasia Andrabi categorically said that people should not get mis-lead and think there is any sort of unity between separatist groups. “How can you expect unity when we had never met? Allaha bless this nation,” she said.
