MLA Rajesh Gupta, Secy Tourism inspect Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex

JAMMU, AUGUST 07(KMW): Member Legislative Assembly, Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta along with Secretary Tourism, M H Malik today undertook an extensive inspection of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.

Director Tourism Jammu, Smita Sethi, Executive Director Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, Vishesh Mahajan, District Information Officer, Sana Khan and residents of the area were also present on the occasion.

The team inspected the ongoing developmental works in and around the central courtyard and directed expedition of all pending works to restore the pristine glory of the heritage complex and attract tourists to the site.

The building structures around the central court yard were also examined especially the historic Army Headquarters, Grey Hall, Royal Court Phase I or ‘Badi Deodri’, Rani Charaki Palace and Rani Bandrauli Mahal also known as ‘Sheesh Mahal’; situated on the banks of river Tawi.

It was informed that Archaeological Survey of India, for the first time in the state is simultaneously undertaking restoration works on three buildings . On spot directions were issued for maintenance of floral patches along with green belt plant cover in the complex premises in accordance to the stages of restoration project.
