Mirwaiz to stabilize Hurriyat, implement constitution

Srinagar: The APHC lead by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq has instructed its constituents to make every effort to implement the constitution of hurriyat so as to make the resistance effective and durable at all levels.
The hurriyat has conducted several meetings of its executive council, General council, and working committee to deliberate seriously on the political and party issues. During these meetings, all of the constituents of the APHC were unanimous in their suggestions that organizational structure of hurriyat should be stabilised and strengthened on grass root level which include tehsils and districts so as to make it more accessible to people. Apart from this, the representatives of the constituents gave suggestion to make the forum more effective on the political, diplomatic, and grass root level.
In this connection APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq convened an important meeting during which heads of the constituents of the APHC including hundred more representatives participated. The meeting continued for seven hours during which several suggestions were put forth to strengthen and stabilise APHC and make it more effective on ground level.
During the meeting, the participants resolved that APHC would continue to represent the emotions and poliitical aspirations of Kashmiris till Kashmir issue is resolved. They further said that the conglomerate would protect the innumerable sacrifices of Kashmiris at any cost.
The participants said they were satisfied with the party’s effort to highlight the Kashmir on local and International level. They said it was due to party’s effort that Kashmir issue was being recognised on international level and a need was felt that the solution K-Issue was must to bring peace and stability in south Asia.
During the meeting several important decisions were taken to form departments so that they can work in tandem with each other to strengthen hurriyat and make it more effective on ground level. The hurriyat participants decided to form the department of public relations, human rights, legal cell, Press and Information and Women’ issues. The meeting decided that Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam will be given charge of Press and Information, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Hakim Abdul Rashid would look after public relations, Abdul Manan Bukhari would look after legal cell, Saleem Geelani was given charge of HR cell, while as Yasmeen Raja would look after Women issue. All the department would start functioning within seven days.
