Mirwaiz meets Zardari, MQM leaders

KARACHI: Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Omar Farooq has said that any long-term peace between Pakistan and India is impossible without a solution to the Kashmir problem.

Talking to the media at Karachi airport Mirwaiz said that the Kashmiris support talks between Pakistan and India however the Kashmiri leadership should be made part of the negotiations.
The Kashmiri leader received a warm welcome when he visited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarter, nine-zero.
Speaking at the occasion he said, that it was his wish to visit the 90. He also said that the Kashmir issue was a political one and should be dealt with, through a political process. On his arrival at the MQM headquarters, the party chief Altaf Hussain said in a telephonic conversation that only the Kashmiris has the right to decide whether they want to go with Pakistan, India or remain independent.
Later Mirwaiz met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Bilawal House and shared views on Pakistan-India relations and the Kashmir issue.
Chairman APHC also visited the Mazar-e-Quaid and paid his respects.
