Militants attack senior Congress leader’s house in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 26 : Militants attacked the house of a senior Congress leader with hand grenades followed by heavy firing in north Kashmir district of Bandipora early Sunday morning, official sources said.

However, no injury was reported, they said.

The sources said the militants hurled a hand grenade followed by heavy firing with automatic weapons towards the house of Congress leader Imtiyaz Parray at Hajin, Bandipora. Security forces, guarding the house of Congress leader, also retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for some time. However, the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness. (news agency)
