Militant killed in brief encounter in Tral

Tral, Apr 13, KMW: A brief encounter between militants and Indian troopers resulted in the death of a militant in Kamla Forests of Tral town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
An army official posted in Tral area informed that the men from 42 and 03 Rashtriya Rifles cordoned off a vast area of Kamla forest and launched a thorough search operation. “During the operation, a group of militants were spot who indiscriminately fired upon the troopers. The troopers retaliated and shot dead a militant whose identity has not been ascertained yet,” he said.
The official said that they recovered two AK-47 rifles from the spot and added that search operation is going on to flush out the militants from the area.
