Militant hide-out busted, war-like stores recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 26 :Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered war-like stores at Lolab in the frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.

Defence Ministry spokesperson Lt Colonel N N Joshi said Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation following a tip off about presence of a militant hideout at Sungal Nar area of Lolab in Kupwara.

During the search operation, security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition which included one AK 47 rifle, three magazine and 40 rounds of ammunition, one pistol, one RPG along with three rounds of ammunition, one UBGL along with eight rounds of ammunition, two Chinese hand grenades, one IED circuit and a Radio set.
