Jammu , July 1: Two militants who happened to be real brothers were arrested among 16 members of their families here today in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir , police sources said.
The militants were arrested along with their family members, when they were heading towards Kotranka of border district Rajouri, sources said.
On specific information about the entry of suspects, Police alerted its resources and laid surprise nakas in Rajouri and intercepted the two families who had entered through Nepal route and were returning to their respective homes, police sources said.
While identifying the arrested persons sources said, one Ab Rashid (49) resident of koteranka (Jaglanu) crossed over to Pak in 1987 via Kanga Gali and was returning with 10 other family members including his wife Bab Johan (47, resident of koteranka and sons and daughters-Mohd Shafiq (26) Mohd Shakil (22), Mohd Qadir (19), Banish Rashid (24), Mavish Rashid (17) Sarish Rashid (13), Isha Rashid (11), Nisha Rashid (09) and Mohd Vikas (15).’
The other arrested militant has been identified as Faqir Mohd (31) and is real younger brother of above mentioned Ab Rashid. He also had gone to Pakistan on a Passport via Waga border to meet Ab Rashid where he also stayed with him and married there. His Pak wife Shazia Kousar (30) also from PoK Mirpur, his son Farian Ali (06), Manikha Ali (05) and daughter Eraj (03) also accompanied him,, police sources said.
During preliminary investigations the duo revealed that they started from Pak on June 25 and stayed in Nepal for two days 26 and 27 then proceeded to onward journey to India on 28 june when they crossed into Indian side in the morning.
They added that they remained in Bihar during the day and then boarded on a train in the evening from Muzzaffarpur to Jammu and from where they opted in a local transport for Kotranka.
