Mian Qayoom released after 280 days detention

Srinagar: Kashmir High Court Bar Association president, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom was released Saturday after 280 days detention. “Mr Mian Qayoom was released this afternoon after we served bail to the concerned police officials at Janipur Jammu,” Advocate Manzoor Ahmad Dar, a senior bar association member, told.Earlier, he said that additional district and session judge, Gopi Krishan Pandita gave bail to advocate Qayoom in FIR 5/2011 under section 121A, 124 A RPC registered against him in the Janipur police station.   Advocate Mian Qayoom was arrested last year and was released after serving detention of 280 days.
