Mehbooba to meet PM today

New Delhi, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh today to discuss the tense situation in the state.
The meeting will be coming amid reports of strain in the PDP-BJP alliance in the wake of the deteriorating security situation in the valley, where the incidents of stone-pelting at security forces have increased of late, resulting in the state-people divide.
Ms Mufti yesterday attended the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, at which she raised the issue of security of Kashmir students in other states.
Mr Modi, agreeing with her point, asked the Chief Ministers to reach out to these students.
Besides discussing the security situation, Ms Muft was expected to take up the various issues that have been causing a strain in the ruling alliance in the state.  (News Agency)
