New Delhi: Continuing its tradition for the straight 18th year to recognize and celebrate excellence in various facets of media production, journalism, broadcasting, and related fields, the Media Federation of India (MFI) holds an impressive award ceremony at the National capital New Delhi on Saturday.

Pertinently, founded by Arun Sharma, the Media Federation of India came into existence in the year 2006 by a group of journalist organizations in India to work for the benefit and to support media professionals. At present, there are more than fifteen thousand media professionals in the Federation. The Federation holds Media Excellence Awards, Film and Media Excellence Awards, Seminars, Business Summits, News Shows, skill exchange workshops & various extensive activities for the benefit of journalists.

In its 18th annual Media Excellence Award Ceremony several journalists, including prominent faces of TV Journalism Rubika Liyaquat, Navika Kumar of Times Now, Shrivardhan Trivedi, Neelam Mahajan Singh, Sayeed Ansari of Ajj Tak, and others.

In print media category Navoday Times bagged the best Hindi Newspaper award, The Daily Milap was given best Urdu daily award, and Chief Editor Daily Srinagar Jang received the best regional newspaper award, followed by Rajawat Times adjusted as the best small newspaper of the year.

Besides Metrocity India was given the best News Magazine of the year, Rohitash Kumar Verma of Danik Jagran, Muzaffarnagar received the best Rural Journalist of the year.

Nikhil Wagh, Senior Manager of Public Relations HR and Admin Department, Goa Shipyard Limited was awarded Best Rising Communicator of the year 2023.

Apart from the presidential address by Arun Sharma, guest of honor Manoj Purohit also addressed the massive gathering of media professionals on the occasion.

Earlier several exciting musical and cultural activities were performed by the different artists groups of the country on the occasion.

Three books which include Academician Dr. Poonam Kumari’s book on advertisement, Dr. Veena Handa, Dr. Vijatha Taneja’s jointly authored book titled “Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship” and Dr. Sachin Batra’s book titled On Ethics of Journalism were released on the occasion.

A MOMENT OF HONOR FOR KASHMIR

Besides receiving the best regional Newspaper award, during the ceremony Bilal Bashir Bhat, Chief Editor of Daily Srinagar Jang and news portal Onlykashmir [dot]in was appointed as President Media Federation of India for Kashmir Division. He was also felicitated for taking Media Federation of India and the cause of the media fraternity forward in Kashmir.

It is Worth mentioning that just a few months back Exchange 4 Media, a prestigious PR body in the country honored Bilal Bashir Bhat with the Best Urdu Journalist Award of the year 2023.

A team of Journalists from Srinagar Rameez Makhdoomi, Managing Editor of Srinagar Jang, and Mr. Ajaz Ahmad War, Chief Editor of Kashmir Media Watch felicitated Media Federation of India President Arun Sharma for his unparalleled contribution to the Media industry.
